Scotland was one of my the first trips I made with he sole intention of doing landscape photography trips back in 2010. The highlands and the Isle of Skye are beautiful locations with incredible rock formations like the iconic Old Man of Storr and beautiful coastline. The weather can be challenging though and it's no surprise that they say that "if you don't like the weather in Scotland, wait an hour, it'll change"
During my all to brief time there I mostly got cloudy overcast weather, which when you've woken up at 4 in the morning and hiked up the side of a hill in the cold and the dark, can be quite demotivating. Still, even in weather conditions that wouldn't work in many place, it's still possible to get atmospheric images.
